Lucid Games, a major Liverpool-based games developer, is on board as an event partner for Prolific North’s brand new event – Unlocking the Next Level of Liverpool’s Gaming Industry.
Hosted on May 23 at Barclays Eagle Labs in Liverpool, this event will unite people from across the games industry to not only showcase what Liverpool has to offer but to address industry challenges and opportunities too.
Founded in 2011, Lucid Games has worked with a variety of renowned publishers and developers from around the world and is one of the largest developers in Liverpool. Alongside developing and publishing its own games, Lucid has assisted in the development of other AAA titles including Last Sentinel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Sea of Thieves and Apex Legends.

George Rule, Community & Marketing Lead at Lucid Games, will also be joining the first panel at the event where we’ll be delving into Liverpool’s rich gaming heritage, the key players in the region today, plus a closer look into what’s unique about Liverpool’s games hub.
Rule has spent nearly a decade in the gaming industry, shifting from influencer roles with Bungie, Activision, and Discord to Community Management and PR at Lucid Games.
He’ll be joined by fellow industry leaders Phil Owen, Head of Engineering at d3t and Clemens Wangerin, Founder of Digital Advisors.
With a keynote speaker set to be revealed soon, we’ll also be hosting a second panel tackling the talent pipeline, industry challenges and the future of the sector with Alison Lacy, Location Manager at Avalanche Studios Group’s Liverpool Studio, recently confirmed as a speaker.
