The City of Liverpool College is on board as headline partner of Prolific North’s brand new event, Unlocking the next level of Liverpool’s Gaming Sector.

Hosted on 23 May at Barclays Eagle Labs in Liverpool, this event will showcase what’s happening across Liverpool’s games sector whilst addressing the talent issues, challenges and opportunities to level up this industry.

Chris Butler, Digital Academy Project Manager at The City of Liverpool College, said of the partnership: “As the leading college helping to shape the next generation of professionals in Liverpool’s thriving gaming sector, we are absolutely delighted to be supporting this event. We look forward to exploring the opportunities it provides, adding to our existing portfolio of industry partnerships.”

Butler is also the recent winner of an LCRCA award for innovation.

We recently confirmed industry experts Phil Owen, head of engineering at d3t; and Clemens Wangerin, founder of Digital Advisors, will be appearing on the first panel at the event where we’ll set the scene of Liverpool’s vibrant games sector.

The second panel session will uncover opportunities and challenges facing the sector whether that’s access to investment or the talent pipeline and how Liverpool’s games hub can level up for the future. One of the speakers joining this panel will be Alison Lacy, location manager at Avalanche Studios Group.

With more speakers set to be revealed soon, it’s set to be an unmissable event. Make sure you book your tickets to the event and keep updated with future announcements here.
