Manchester-based Quay Street Productions, part of ITV Studios, has unveiled two senior moves as the fast-growing drama outfit continues to ramp up its UK and global ambitions.
Fiona McAllister, whose credits include After The Flood and The Stolen Girl, steps into the role of Head of Development, where she’ll spearhead the company’s development strategy across all scripted projects. McAllister, who joined in 2021, has been central to shaping Quay Street’s expanding slate, collaborating closely with writers and creative partners to champion bold, original storytelling.

Meanwhile, long-standing team member Davina Earl moves into a newly defined executive producer role, working alongside Richard Fee within the senior creative team led by CEO Nicola Shindler. Earl will take charge of a portfolio of major productions, including recent titles The Red King (UKTV), Men Up (BBC) and BBC drama The Guest, which drew both critical acclaim and standout audience figures. All three shows were widely praised for their distinctiveness, emotional depth and creative ambition.
Shindler said: “Fiona and Davina have both been instrumental to what we’ve built at Quay Street, and these appointments reflect their brilliance and the trust we all have in them. I feel incredibly lucky to be working with them, alongside Richard Fee. Their experience and talent are invaluable as we grow the company.”
McAllister added: “Quay Street is such a special company – it’s a privilege to work in this smart, fun team who are all so passionate about TV. I’m delighted to have the chance to carry on Davina’s brilliant work, putting writers and creatives at the heart of everything we do, pushing ambitious, bold ideas and growing the slate in exciting new directions.”
