Manchester agency stays in its lane with Tenpin appointment

UK bowling and leisure giant Tenpin has appointed Manchester agency Full Volume PR to deliver its nationwide PR activity.

The Ancoats-based agency is briefed to deliver PR activity to support a number of new site and refurbed site launches, which will involve a programme of local activations, media relations and influencer engagement. Full Volume will also raise the profile of the Tenpin brand nationally, running a proactive and reactive press office, news generation campaigns, seasonal PR stunts and national activations.

Tenpin is the one of the largest bowling companies in the country, with over 50 locations nationwide, offering 10-36 bowling lanes, LaserTag, Houdini escape rooms, arcades and a wide food and drink offering. PR activity will be designed to raise brand awareness, communicate key messages and consistently drive footfall amongst key target audiences, particularly during key peak trading times such as Easter and summer holidays

Ben Coldwell, content and reputation manager at Tenpin, said: “Full Volume is a great fit for Tenpin. The team’s enthusiasm, ideas and understanding of our business brief were very impressive and they’ve already got off the starting blocks quickly with some great coverage and ideas. We’re really looking forward to working with them over the coming months and building a long-term partnership.”

Full Volume PR managing partner Caroline Eardley said: “This is a great win for us and one that really plays to our extensive experience in local marketing and leisure PR. We absolutely love the Tenpin brand and its alignment with our own values – fun, creative and noisy! We’re thrilled to be working with Ben and the team to make a big impact for Tenpin in national and local media.”

Full Volume has previously worked with Tenpin’s chief marketing officer, James Croxall, on PR activity for Tesco’s regional discount chain, Jack’s, a short-lived attempt to compete with continental bargain giants like Aldi and Lidl, but focussing on British-sourced produce. The brand was launched in Immingham, Humberside, in 2018, but retired in 2022 with several stores reverting to Tesco.
