With just two weeks left until Digital City Festival returns to Manchester, we’ve pulled together a round-up all the incredible sessions and details of how to book your tickets to each event.

Now in its fifth year, Digital City Festival is back from 15 – 19 April and comprises a number of key anchor events hosted by Prolific North, plus a number of fringe events hosted by the tech and digital community.

To kick off the festival, we’ll be hosting a Digital Leaders Summit on 15 April. This invite-only event will unite industry leaders to discuss growth, innovation, sustainability, talent pipelines and much more.

Expect to find out how Greater Manchester is doing things differently during a panel session with Phil Swan, Director of Digital at Greater Manchester Combined Authority, plus Liz Scott MBE, Director at Turing Innovation Catalyst. 

Interested in creating real business value from AI? Look no further than a dedicated talk hosted by Dr Alastair Gill, Principal Data Scientist at GFT and Heather Statham, Principal Consultant at GFT.

You’ll be able to delve into a discussion on investing in the North’s start-up ecosystem with industry leaders David Levine, Principal of Manchester Angels and Katie Gallagher OBE, Managing Director of Manchester Digital.

With the evolution of digital cities comes the importance of safety. Find out more about this topic during a panel session with Sameena Khan, Director Partnerships and Community at IN4 Group; Tom Stockton, CEO and co-founder of Fuzzy Labs; and Emma Green, Managing Partner at Cyber Data Law Solicitors. On Tuesday 16 April in the heart of MediaCity at Hot House – Open Centre – leaders across the media and broadcasting sectors will come together for thought-provoking discussions at Made in the North Summit & Exhibition.

Following demos and a showcase of some of the region’s talented studios, production companies, facilities, training and educational support providers, we’ll be exploring the importance of face-to-face experiences in a digital world with Cascade. This session will be hosted by Jo Madeley, Managing Director at Cascade. and Andy Unsworth, Content Producer at Cascade.

Leaders from the likes of ITV Studios, North East Screen, Liverpool Screen School, dock10, Talent for Tech, Pact, Manchester Metropolitan University, Screen Yorkshire, and many more will be taking part in important discussions to unite the sector.
