Bailie Group appoints former Rolls-Royce Director

Leeds-based communications company, Bailie Group, has named Frank Hayden as a Non-executive Director.

The group has recently announced plans to reach an £80m turnover by 2024.

Hayden has held senior roles at BMW Airbus/BAE Systems as well as being Group Manufacturing Director at Rolls Royce and Chair of tech start-up Aspira. Currently he’s involved in launch planning for Rolls-Royce SMR.

“We have ambitious growth plans for every company in the Bailie Group and we wanted an experienced individual to help us achieve the ambitious targets we have set ourselves. I’m delighted to have found someone with Frank’s expertise which complements every area of the Group,” said CEO, Fergus Bailie.

Frank’s input has already been valuable, and he is bringing new ideas and an infectious enthusiasm to our meetings.”

Having played a key role in the launch of the BMW Mini, Airbus A380, Eurofighter Typhoon, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and Rolls-Royce engines for the Boeing 787 & Airbus A350, he’s now working as a consultant and non-executive director.

During the Covid-19 pandemic he was head of Covid-19 UK Rapid Test Manufacturing for the Cabinet Office.
