5 is to broadcast the all-star Game4Hope charity football match as a combined Everton/Liverpool XI takes on a World XI.
Taking place at Hill Dickinson Stadium on 26th September, it will see Merseyside legends joins forces to take on a world side featuring Rivaldo, Clarence Seedorf and Jaap Stam.
5’s live broadcast will be fronted by former international hockey player Katie Shanahan and Ade Oladipo. Shanahan has covered some of the biggest events in football and sport, including major football tournaments, the Olympics and NFL. She recently presented 5’s live coverage of the World Snooker Tour.
Oladipo meanwhile is an award-winning presenter, broadcaster and journalist, known for football and boxing coverage.

The match will raise money for Everton in the Community and Shelter and their work tackling homelessness across Merseyside and beyond.
The Everton/Liverpool XI will be jointly managed by Everton great Peter Reid and Liverpool legend John Barnes, with Everton’s Tim Cahill as captain.
Players lined up include Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka, Yakubu, Robbie Fowler, David James, Ryan Babel, Jari Litmanen, John Aldridge, Joleon Lescott and Louis Saha. Celebrity players are Tony Bellew, Big Zuu, Molly McCann, Still Ryan, James Nelson-Joyce and John Bishop.
They’ll take on a World XI side co-captained by Rivaldo and Clarence Seedorf. Their team features Cafu, Jaap Stam, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Mustapha Hadji and Des Walker, alongside Ted Lasso actors Toheeb Jimoh and Moe Hashim, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Nitro), Johnny Nelson and Jack Fowler.

Game4Hope is produced and organised by LGNDS and will air from 4pm Saturday 26 September on 5.
