Newcastle agencies join forces to create new senior-led PR partnership MC PR

Two North East communications agencies have joined forces to launch a new PR partnership aimed at organisations looking for senior strategic support and high-level campaign work.

Newcastle’s Marriott Communications and CgPR have created MC PR, a joint venture that brings together the experience of agency founders Samuel Marriott-Dowding and Chrissie Pringle. Both agencies will continue to operate independently but will collaborate under the new banner on strategic PR, creative campaigns and reputation consultancy.

Pringle, who has more than 25 years’ experience working across regional, national and international media, said the model is designed to give organisations streamlined access to senior practitioners. “Our clients get the benefit of two agencies in one – without the complexity,” she said. “With MC PR, clients receive senior experience, national reach, and hands-on delivery, wrapped into a single, seamless service.”

Marriott-Dowding has led campaigns for organisations including the United Nations, the Scottish Government and The Labour Party, as well as charities and cultural bodies. He said the partnership was born out of a demand for braver, more strategically driven communications. “MC PR is built for organisations that are both bold and brave,” he said. “We’ve created a model that blends strategy, creativity, and execution – helping clients influence, connect, and evolve.”

The pair have previously collaborated on cultural and regional projects, including the North East International Film Festival. Their work on the 2025 festival delivered 75 million global publication views and attracted coverage across regional, national, international and broadcast outlets.
