Possible £500,000 prize pot as Lee Mack’s The 1% Club returns for week-long event

The 1% Club

ITV is turning Lee Mack’s The 1% Club into a week-long “rollover event” this Autumn.

Filmed at dock10, The 1% Club Rollover will share the same game mechanics as the Saturday night version, but ITV said it would be “bigger than ever.”

Aired over 5 days, it means that if the prize pot isn’t won on episode one, it will rollover onto the next day’s show. If all the prizes rollover, £500k could be up for grabs.

“The 1% Club Rollover as event TV is a perfect fit. The series continues to go from strength to strength and has become a must watch in homes across the country on Saturday nights,” said Sue Murphy Head of Factual Entertainment ITV.

“This special Rollover week will really be a primetime event that will have the nation hooked. Five nights of The 1% Club and Lee Mack… What’s not to like?”

There is another rule for the Rollover, which is that anyone who gets as far as the 1% question, automatically comes back to compete again. This means that if someone wins big on one show, they get to come back for the next day’s show where they could potentially win the Prize Pot again and in effect, double (or even treble or quadruple) their winnings.

The 1% Club has become a global hit and the biggest original quiz show in more than a decade, regularly exceeding 6m viewers each episode. Since its launch 3 years ago, it has been streamed over 40m times and reached 43m viewers.

It was created by Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach, and is a Magnum Media production for ITV.
