Yorkshire tech firm invests in new home – and barista training

Probado is investing £30k into a new headquarters at Globe Mill in Slaithwaite.

The IT and telephony firm is expanding into the 900sq ft space as it seeks to grow its team of 9.

The £30k bespoke fit-out includes new furnishings, height adjustable desks, video conference facilities, a gaming area – and barista training, which is a new one.

“We are excited about this move to The Globe which provides us with the space and facilities to support our growing team and ambitions. The location in Slaithwaite town centre offers brilliant local food and shopping options, walking routes and rail links and we are confident that it will be a great place for the team and customers alike,” said Gordon Maclean, Director and co-founder of Probado.

“We have invested in new furnishings and barista training for all staff from Darkwoods Coffee, a local brand renowned for its high-quality coffee, to ensure we are creating a happy, modern and attractive environment for our team to work from.”

The company has also signed a new IT contract with The Globe and some of its clients, to supply network and telephony services.
