Tern TV is producing a documentary telling the story of Scottish singing star, Susan Boyle.
Commissioned by BBC Popular Music TV and BBC Scotland, There’s Only One Susan Boyle (working title), will tell explore the woman behind the voice, featuring an exclusive interview with Boyle, alongside insights from friends, collaborators and fans.
It will air on BBC One Scotland the iPlayer as part of the festive schedule.

“More than a decade and a half since she first wowed the nation, Susan’s story continues to inspire, and in her own words we get to hear how that one moment in time changed her life forever and made her a true national treasure.”
In 2009, Boyle, an unassuming woman from Blackburn in Scotland became an overnight and global sensation when she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.
That performance has since been viewed more than 264m.

The documentary will explore the “wild, funny, moving and often surreal years” that have brought her to the life she lives today.

“My life changed overnight after Britain’s Got Talent, and it has been an extraordinary and unexpected journey ever since. I hope the programme reminds viewers to stay true to themselves and follow their dreams.”
