Cheshire online fashion brand Sosandar has announced the passing of its non-executive chairman Bill Murray.
The company said in a stock exchange statement: “It is with regret that Sosandar announces that Bill Murray, non-executive chairman of the company, has passed away. His fellow board members and all his other colleagues are deeply saddened by his passing.
Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, co-chief executives, added: “It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Bill over the weekend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him.
“Bill has left a lasting legacy to the business and his dedication and commitment to the success and growth of Sosandar will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and condolences to Bill’s family and loved ones during this terribly difficult and sad time.”
Murray had worked with Sosandar since early 2014, initially assisting with fundraising, and had chaired the Sosandar board since its inception at the start of 2016.
He also had extensive experience in the media industry, having spent 22 years until 2008 with Haymarket Media Group where he served most recently as managing director of digital strategy. He had also worked on a non-executive and consultancy basis providing support to digital, media and other commercial organisations over the last decade.
Sosandar added that it would provide further updates “in due course”.
