Prolific North Tech Awards final deadline extends to 8th September

Due to popular demand, there’s now more time to submit your entries to the Prolific North Tech Awards with the final deadline extended until the 8th September.

The live awards ceremony will be held on 9th November at Manchester United Football Club, where we will be celebrating all the top talent, companies, innovations and projects across the North’s thriving tech sector.

Whether it’s crowning the Tech Start-Up of the Year, Innovation of the Year or Best Use of AI, to celebrating teams and agencies including the award for Best Large Agency – there’s plenty of categories to choose from here.

We’ve had a chat with some of our previous winners, to find out why they entered and what winning meant to them.

Northcoders, a Manchester-headquartered independent provider of training programmes for software coding and data engineering which has sites in Leeds, Newcastle and Birmingham, picked up the Rapid Growth Award in 2021.

Director of marketing, Steven Oakes, said: “Winning the Rapid Growth award back in 2021 was a fantastic achievement for Northcoders. Entering awards can help in many ways; from helping to raise a company’s profile to driving credibility and helping to grow your network.”

Car finance marketplace Zuto won Best Workplace at the Prolific North Tech Awards 2022, along with a nomination for Large Tech Company of the Year.

Lucy Sherliker, marketing director at Zuto, said: “We entered the Prolific North Tech Awards because we’re really proud of the work we’ve put into running Zuto as a force for good and making a positive difference within the automotive and finance industries.

“The ‘best workplace’ entry provided an opportunity to demonstrate how we are fulfilling our ambition to be an “employer of choice”, championing an inclusive culture, prioritising employee wellbeing and offering great career possibilities.”

She continues: “Winning the award has supported our recruitment drive as we look to grow and bring more people (who we call Zutonites) into our team: 400 strong and aiming for 100 new hires.

“Since the awards, our CEO Jim Wilkinson has been appointed president of charity Forever Manchester and is on the board of Manchester Digital, a trade body for the region’s tech and digital sector. Zuto has announced a record year of growth and has now helped more than 350,000 customers in the UK find the right car and finance that suits them.”
