This category looks to reward the past year’s top entrepreneurs working in the region. We’re looking for individuals who’ve overcome significant challenges, introduced novel solutions, and done everything they can to support their team. The winner of this award will be decided through a combination of judges’ scoring and a public vote.

The winner of this award will be a strong role model in the industry and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, CIOs and CTOs. They might be a leader of a tech company or technology function but will also play a key role in championing technology and technological change beyond their business. Their drive, vision and commitment will have been instrumental in developing new technologies or contributing to the company’s success.

Entries will be scored by the judging panel as well as by a public vote. You may nominate yourself or a colleague for all individual awards. Your entry will be limited to 400 words. 

The submission will ask for standard information about the person, a headshot, as well as the following questions:

  1. Who is the nominee and what is their background? What makes them a role model and a successful tech leader?
  2. How did the nominee get to where they are today and what were the main challenges?
  3. How has the nominee contributed to the success of their current business? Please include information on the business’ main sector or activity and when it was established.
  4. How has the nominee contributed to the sector beyond their role in the business?
  5. Why should the nominee win this award and why should they win it this year?
