Creatives from across Greater Manchester will ignite BEYOND 2025 with the Creative Mixer – an immersive event celebrating the next generation of digital artists who are redefining storytelling, technology, and design in the UK.
Hosted by broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake, the high-energy launch event takes place on Monday 24 November at 5pm over at MediaCity’s Hot House, inviting audiences to experience an evening of live performances, interactive installations and conversations with groundbreaking artists.
Attendees can expect live performances and creative interventions from:
- Salford alumni, Noelle Nurdin – an electronic producer and AV artist, currently pushing the boundaries of spatial audio and immersive tech.
- Writer and performer Tamsin Middleton aka ViceVera. ViceVera will give a live performance of ‘Expanded Emotion’ while showcasing her proto-type stage-wear adorned with addressable LEDs, which responds to her voice. Developed in collab with Jayne Sayer.
- WETRIP, presented as part of the FaT OuT 25 programme and curated and produced by From the Other co-director Emma Thompson, will share how immersive installations like WETRIP are being made more inclusive for deaf audiences through haptic floors and spatial audio.

Co-producer of the Creative Mixer, Sally Gilford, culture programme manager from Salford City Council, said: “This event is a catalyst for bold ideas and creative ambition. It brings people together to celebrate the energy of Salford. These artists aren’t just shaping what’s happening locally, they’re building connections that open doors to global opportunities. We’re here to back them with the support and networks they need so their ideas can grow and make an impact far beyond our city”
Caroline Aikman, place and marketing director, MediaCity, added: “Salford is the UK’s launchpad for creative innovation and the Creative Mixer will set the tone by showcasing the incredible talent emanating from our City and across GM. Their innovations will inspire digital and non-digital artists alike while demonstrating how their creative practices add value culturally and societally.”
