New strategy chief headlines hiring spree at Manchester agency

New strategy and innovation director Alex Blaikley is at the forefront of a hiring spree at Manchester full-service digital marketing agency I-COM.

This newly created role comes as part of a continued expansion by the agency due to a number of recent wins including ebuyer, Dawnvale and Universal Tankers. The Client Services and Content Marketing teams are also hiring new staff with Tyriq Oladiran, Harrison Spencer and Charlotte Kaighen joining the I-COM team.

Blaikley joins I-COM to enhance the integrated marketing offering to new and existing clients through AI, headless solutions and an agile approach to client growth and delivery across all I-COM services and channels.

Blaikley, who was previously commercial director at Leeds’ 26 and has also served stints at iProspect and Google, said: “The unique approach that I-COM takes to working with its clients, coupled with the breadth of services means that this role offers a huge opportunity to build on existing success. Its integration with technology partners, and transparency around the opportunities that AI can create highlights the incredible role that agencies should play in client growth.”
