Smoking Gun to ignite the UK PR for Social Chain-owned BBQ brand

Manchester-based Smoking Gun has been appointed for PR services by Germany's longest-established barbecue manufacturer LANDMANN, part of the DS Group.

Following a three-way pitch the agency will manage press office, product placement and PR campaigns for the manufacturer - the largest brand within DS Group, which was acquired by Social Chain AG in 2021.

As the summer season approaches, Smoking Gun has been tasked with growing the brand presence of LANDMANN, which sells via ecommerce as well as in British retailers like Wickes.

Derek Nixon, MD at LANDMANN, said: “Smoking Gun was recommended to us and took part in a three-way pitch. They completely met our brief with their presentation and instilled us with confidence.
