Manchester based event technology startup Attendist has launched its platform globally, allowing event organisers anywhere in the world to access its full range of features for free for events with up to 50 attendees.
Founded five years ago, Attendist was created to help organisers tackle two common challenges: identifying potential leads at events and making events more sustainable.
The platform brings together a range of event management tools, including permission based lead capture, name badge creation, attendee introductions and networking, and post event reviews.
As part of its global launch, organisers can now try the platform on a real event with up to 50 attendees without needing to provide card details.
The business says its platform is also helping attendees connect before events take place, with one in two users using Attendist to connect with other attendees on LinkedIn and Instagram ahead of an event.
To mark the launch, Attendist is also offering the first 50 organisers to sign up to its #nicebadges campaign 50 printed name badges free with their first print order, worth £35.
The badges are made from recycled, Cradle to Cradle Certified card using plant based toner and are produced to order, with no single use plastic holders.
Founder Chi-chi Armstrong said: “It’s pretty exciting to be launching Attendist worldwide, but it wasn’t an easy decision. It meant reworking how our platform operated to support self service for event organisers in any timezone, while also addressing the cyber security challenges that come with offering a free trial.
“As a Manchester based startup, it would have been much easier to focus on the UK market, but a significant proportion of our users use ticketing platforms such as Eventbrite and Luma, which have a global focus, so we had to think bigger.
“It’s been a long road getting here, but the response from our users indicates it has been totally worth it.”
The global expansion also builds on Attendist’s sustainability focus. Through its partnership with Carma, every paid event using the platform plants a UK tree, with trees planted by veterans.
