Nine young girls and women aged between 11 and 20 will reflect on their experiences a year on from the Manchester Arena bomb.

The youngest, 11 year old Erin will explain how she walked through the site where the bomb exploded and that she still battles with flashbacks and is scared to leave the house.

For 18 year old Amelia it was the first concert she’d attended without her mum and she was standing 6ft away from the bomber. Physically injured in the attack, her mum struggles to let her out of her sight, terrified of losing her.

On May 22nd, 2017, 22 people were killed and more than 250 injured in the Manchester Arena bomb. Blakeway North follows some of those that were at the Ariana Grande concert and explores the lasting psychological impact and how their lives have been changed forever.

It has been filmed, directed and produced by first-time director, Lizzie Kempton and airs on Sunday 13th May on BBC Three and again on BBC One, on 15th May.
