Channel 4's Sky Coppers

DJI Matrice 300 RTK drones sold by the UK’s leading provider of commercial drones, Leeds-based Coptrz have made their Channel 4 debut in the brand new documentary series, Sky Coppers.

The show, which airs on Channel 4 at 9pm every Tuesday and is available to stream in its entirety on All 4, follows the work of the West Midlands Drone Squad and how it utilises the technology to assist in its investigations.

Paul Luen, CEO and founder of Coptrz, said: “Drones are a highly effective, safe and cost-effective means of supporting frontline policing and their use is rising at an astonishing rate. Nearly 400 drones are now being used regularly by forces across the UK, while the National Police Chief’s Council even has a dedicated drone lead commissioner.”

The Matrice 300 RTK used by West Midlands Police in Sky Coppers is DJI’s flagship commercial drone. It offers up to 55-minutes of flight time, advance AI capabilities, six directional sensing and positioning and has a 15km maximum transmission range.

Luen also revealed that since the current series of Sky Coppers filmed DJI has unveiled the upgraded Matrice 350 RTK, which he hopes will feature in the next series of the show.

Coptrz sells over 150 different product types from manufacturers all over the world and also delivers a suite of 80 training courses, ranging from general commercial drone operator training to specialist work such as wind turbine inspection, through its Coptrz Academy.

“We’re closing in on 30 partnerships with drone manufacturers from around the world and are rightly proud of the standing this gives us as being the home to the latest drone technology in the UK,” added Luen.
