York-based Great Rail Journeys Group has announced a strategic consolidation of its Rail Discoveries brand into the core Great Rail Journeys business to drive future growth.
In 2022, the Great Rail Journeys group initiated a strategic refresh, which included a redesign of the brand logos. This consolidation marks the next chapter in the evolution.
Capitalising on a record-breaking 2024 with a 30% revenue increase, the company is targeting ambitious growth of 50% for the coming year. Great Rail Journeys (GRJ) has long been a leader in the travel industry, while Rail Discoveries offered a value-focused travel option within the group’s portfolio. By uniting the two brands, the company can build upon this combined strength to deliver a more comprehensive travel experience for its customers.

The consolidation will result in a seamless customer experience with no disruption to existing bookings or itineraries. Rail Discoveries tours will transition to the Great Rail Journeys website (www.greatrail.com) and be rebranded as the “Discoveries Collection.” Customers can continue to expect the same high-quality service, expert tour managers, and carefully curated itineraries that have been hallmarks of both brands.
To mark the occasion Great Rail Journeys has expanded its range of holidays to include more flight options on popular itineraries, including those to the Italian Lakes.
