Former Ear to the Ground influencer lead joins Brazen

Brazen has recruited the former Ear to the Ground head of influencer marketing Mark Dandy as head of influence.

The move by the award-winning Manchester-based agency is designed to turbo-charge its Influence Division and integrate social and influence campaigns across its News and Experience Services.

Brazen MD, Sasha Makel, said: “Mark brings a wealth of experience to Brazen, having worked on groundbreaking campaigns for massive brands including Playstation, Coca-Cola and New Balance. As our client roster, including Wren, Sudocrem, Butlin’s and Showcase, increasingly brief us on fully integrated, through-the-line campaigns, influence and social content sits right at the heart of everything we do.

“His big-brand campaign experience, coupled with his commercial acumen and innovative ideas, puts us in a really strong position to achieve our growth vision for the Influence Division. It’s currently our fastest-growing, up 14% YoY, with targets to grow by a further 28%, this year, under Mark’s leadership.”

Specialising in B2C marketing, Dandy is a force behind countless global social and influencer strategies, developing outstanding content and working with thousands of influencers across numerous markets.

As head of influence at Brazen, he will not only lead the seven-strong division but also take the reins of Brazen Buddies – the company’s dynamic and diverse influencer network which covers sectors from beauty and fashion to home and family, and more.

Makel added: “Brazen Buddies offers huge commercial opportunity both for Brazen and our clients. Mark is brimming with ideas for how to take this side of our business to the next level, and it’ll be his priority from day one.”

Announcing the new role on social media, Dady said: “Exciting new chapter starts for me today as I start a new role as Head of Influence for Brazen. Can’t wait to get started and really looking forward to working with an incredible team and client roster. I’ll be looking after social and influencer work, so as we start the new year, if your brand is currently planning your activations and campaigns for the year and you’d like a second opinion, feel free to give us a shout. Would love to give any advice and guidance we can.”
