Automotive Insights owner acquires Factor Sales

Eyeballs to Datapoints, the owner of Automotive Insights, has acquired Factor Sales for an undisclosed sum.

The move is part of the group’s aim to become the number one specialist in automative intelligence in the UK.

“We are delighted to be joining such a highly regarded insights specialist, one that is eager to invest, innovate and enhance our proposition,” said Isaac Shalaan, Co-Founder and Technical Director of Factor Sales.

“Their approach is both ambitious and measured, and I believe it can help firmly establish Factor Sales as the mission-critical partner for any company operating within the aftermarket.”

Factor Sales is a leading source of insight for the automotive aftermarket. It was founded by Shalaan and Business Development Manager, Sebastian de Pedro.

“We are delighted to have acquired the business and key assets of Factor Sales and to welcome Isaac and Seb to our expanding team,” added Nick Richardson, Executive Director of Automotive Insights & Research Services.

“As a business we have made clear progress since our launch and have delighted clients & partners with our innovative approach. We are now excited to extend that impact into the aftermarket through the strategic acquisition of Factor Sales, a business that should aspire to be the mission-critical partner for any company that is serious about the aftermarket industry.”

The Manchester-based company has an advisory board which includes former Ford UK Managing Director Andy Barratt, industry futurist Tom Cheesewright, and Regit CEO Chris Ashton-Green.

Earlier this year, the company also appointed former Auto Trader Research & Data Director Richard Walker as Executive Director of Research, Data & Insights.

“As I have said before, data is the new horsepower. The strategic acquisition of Factor Sales demonstrates how Eyeballs to Datapoints can provide the most comprehensive and dynamic view of both what consumers are thinking and doing, and how the aftermarket is responding,” said Barratt, Chairman of the Automotive Insights Advisory Board.
