Mediaworks has appointed Michael Sherwood as chief customer officer, enhancing its senior leadership team as the agency bids to further strengthen its long-term client partnerships.
Sherwood joins from Worldpay, where he was director of onboarding, and brings more than 25 years’ experience across customer, digital, operations and organisational leadership.
As CCO, Sherwood will be responsible for strengthening how clients work with Mediaworks. His role will focus on building even stronger agency relationships, creating more consistency across the client experience and ensuring Mediaworks’ work is closely aligned to the commercial priorities of the organisations it supports.

His appointment supports Mediaworks’ continued focus on building long term client partnerships that connect brand, marketing, technology, performance and customer insight to deliver stronger commercial results.
Sherwood has previously held senior roles at Atom Bank, Virgin Money, Tesco Bank, BGL Group and Orange. At Atom, he played a key role in the development of the UK’s first app only bank, leading digital, experience and brand functions during a period of significant growth.
Throughout his career, he has led customer operations at scale, supported the launch and growth of new service propositions, and helped organisations use customer insight to reduce friction, improve service quality and create better outcomes for both customers and businesses.
