Kristal Ireland, the former Head of Digital for Welcome to Yorkshire and Head of eCommerce for Virgin Trains East Coast, has been appointed Digital Director for UK Coaching.
UK Coaching is the brand name of the National Coaching Foundation. Ireland, who will be based at UK Coaching’s Yorkshire HQ in Leeds, said: “I am thrilled to be joining the organisation at such an important time.
“The team have worked extremely hard to continue and facilitate online learning during Covid-19 and have shown exceptional levels of resilience and tenacity.
“I am looking forward to working with them all and developing our range of online learning, community and training that supports over 3 million coaches UK wide.”
UK Coaching’s CEO Mark Gannon added: “We are delighted to welcome Kristal to the UK Coaching team.
“Her extensive brand know-how from the world of digital marketing will be a monumental asset for us as we focus on the future sustainability of the coaching sector through digital services like our learning and development platform, ukcoaching.org – which has proven its worth by keeping the sector engaged, connected and motivated during these unprecedented times.
“As a team, we’ll be working closely to provide coaches with even greater access to not only online learning but also face-to-face learning and courses, whether that’s digital or in situ.
“Digital will be central to driving forwards our partnership strategy as we seek to welcome other learning and development providers to our platform to support coaches at every level.”
Ireland will be once again be joining the judging panel for the Prolific North Awards 2020.
