Glasgow-headquartered AV and digital solutions provider SSUK has strengthened its Northern England operations with the opening of a new office in Blackburn.
The office will be run by experienced account manager Jason Clemson.
The latest expansion comes as the business celebrates a Premier League treble this summer, with SSUK and its sister company, TG Baker, due to complete more than £1m of technology installations across three as-yet-unnamed English Premier League football stadiums – the business already counts Bristol City’s Ashton Gate and Wembley Stadium among its client list.
Clemson joins SSUK with more than 26 years’ experience in the AV and technology sector, having built a successful career helping organisations identify the right technology solutions, develop long-term partnerships and successfully deliver projects across a wide range of industries.
Working with end users, consultants, contractors and technical teams throughout his long career, Clemson has developed expertise spanning business development, account management, solution design and project delivery. His appointment, says SSUK, reflects the company’s continued investment in supporting organisations throughout the north of England while building on an already well-established client base across the UK.
While the company continues to invest in local relationships through its Blackburn office, it is also delivering projects on a national scale, supporting organisations across education, healthcare, local government, leisure, sport and the commercial sector.
New hire Clemson said: “People buy from people. Technology is important, but it’s about understanding what a client is trying to achieve, communicating clearly and building trust over time.
“Our role is to understand the problem, explain the options in a way that makes sense and then deliver the right solution with as little fuss as possible.”
Simon McCahill, managing director of SSUK, welcomed Clemson to the team and added that his appointment comes “at an exciting time for the business.”
