adidas drops latest Salford City kit, with a familiar front-of-shirt sponsor

Salford City has revealed its all-white new away kit for the 2026-27 season, produced by adidas, and offering a fresh new look for summer.

This historic release is the first playing kit that will sport the new Salford City crest, voted for by fans in late 2025 and introduced as of now (July 2026).

The white-base shirt features the iconic adidas three stripes in orange across the shoulders and sleeves as a representation of the club’s new primary colour when the team plays away from home. The round collar neck is black with an orange trim, as are the cuffed short sleeves.

The new front-of-shirt partner is leading global insurer AIG (who fans may remember as neighbours Manchester United’s front of shirt sponsor from the days when Salford City’s Class of ’92 owners regularly had the Trafford club picking up trophies – that record-breaking £56m shirt deal lasted from 2006 to 2010, coincidentally around the same year that United stopped regularly winning anything) and their logo is emblazoned across the front, with international technology consultancy Accenture across the upper portion of the back of the shirt. British health supplement and wellness retailer, Holland & Barrett, completes shirt sponsorship duties with an appearance on the left-hand sleeve.

The kit is completed with white shorts that also feature orange stripes and a black and orange trim, and customised ‘SCFC’ white socks. The women’s team will wear black shorts with orange stripes instead.
