Leeds PR agency Prohibition has won a retained UK brief with global water services business Culligan.
The 30-strong agency has been appointed to raise Culligan’s profile among corporate and enterprise customers as the company targets further growth in the UK.

In the UK, the business employs more than 800 people across 22 locations and works with customers in sectors including healthcare, public services, facilities management, professional services, leisure and construction.
Prohibition’s brief will include an ongoing press office as well as communications around events, special projects and new product launches.
The agency will particularly focus on building Culligan’s profile among decision-makers in its key commercial sectors.
Will Ockenden, Director at Prohibition PR, commented: “Culligan is a global leader in water services, and there is a real opportunity to tell a much bigger story here in the UK, educating audiences on the breadth of what the business offers.
“Our role will be to build Culligan’s presence and authority, while supporting its wider commercial ambitions and communicating the expertise, service and sustainability credentials that set the business apart. We’re excited to deliver PR that supports both the brand’s values and its commercial growth.”
Katie Chalk, Head of Marketing at Culligan UK, added: “We’re at an exciting stage of growth in the UK and required a PR partner that understood the commercial opportunity ahead, not just how to generate coverage.
“Prohibition stood out for its commercially-minded approach, particularly how clearly the team links PR activity and reporting back to wider business objectives and impact. The team demonstrated a strong understanding of our customers, our growth priorities and how communications can support consideration and, ultimately, help move the dial commercially.”
Founded in 2012, Prohibition provides integrated PR and communications services across consumer and B2B markets and is a member of Worldcom, the global network of independent PR and communications agencies.
