Radio 1 has confirmed, this morning, that Fatboy Slim and Sonny Fodera will be the first headliners for its Big Weekend 2026.
Taking place in Sunderland on 22nd May, the world famous DJs will be joined on the Dance Party line-up by FISHER, Clementine Douglas and MK on the Main Stage.
More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend the event in Herrington Country Park over the May weekend.
So far the Friday line-up includes:

Further acts will be announced from Monday on Radio 1, with Greg James revealing the Saturday acts at 7.30am.
Tickets go on sale today and they’ll be geographically weighted with 30% reserved for those living in Sunderland and 60% for those living in the surrounding region. 10% can be bought by the rest of the UK.
The BBC said it was working closely with Sunderland City Council to ensure the weekend was a “safe and secure environment for all those attending the festival.”
BBC Radio 1 will broadcast live from the festival site throughout.
