How to get tickets
Tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025 will go on sale at 5pm on Thursday 13 March via Ticketmaster, the only official ticketing agent for the event. Given the festival’s popularity, tickets are expected to sell out fast. Past events have seen tickets snapped up within minutes, so be ready when they drop.
Although the event used to be free, tickets now cost £33 plus a £4.50 booking fee per ticket. There is a geographic weighting too, with 50% of tickets reserved for Liverpool residents. 40% are for those living in surrounding areas and just 10% are available for the rest of the UK.
Big Weekend 2025 is unmissable
Sefton Park, one of Liverpool’s most iconic green spaces, will host the festival. Known for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant atmosphere, the park is the perfect setting for a weekend of live music.
This marks the first time Radio 1’s Big Weekend has been held in Liverpool since 2014, and the city is ready to welcome over 100,000 music fans for what promises to be a major event.
There are multiple Stages, including the Main Stage and the New Music Stage, meaning there is usually something for everyone, whether you’re into rock, pop, hip-hop, or electronic music.
If you can’t make it in person (or miss out on tickets) the BBC has you covered. It will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds. Past headliners have included Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Chase and Status.
