MTJ PR, the North West FMCG specialist PR agency, has rebranded to Mighty & Kin.
The move follows the completion of a management buyout by managing director Claire Murgatroyd, who has been with the agency for 20 years this month.
Moving away from the founder’s initials, the new name represents the agency’s character and the wider creative and strategic work it delivers: ‘Mighty’ is about strength and the power to make things happen, while ‘Kin’ speaks to the team’s heart, loyalty, trust and integrity underpinning their work, the agency explained.

Salford-based Mighty & Kin’s client roster includes household names such as Rustlers (owned by Kepak), AG Barr and Quorn, who have been clients for 20, 19 and nine years respectively.
MD Murgatroyd said: “I’m excited about this new chapter for us. The name and brand reflect who we really are as an agency. Often described as ‘small but mighty’, we know how to deliver powerful and impactful work, that is driven by integrity and purpose.
“I’ll be the first to admit, we’ve often flown under the radar, focussing on our clients rather than ourselves,” Murgatroyd continued. “But I think it’s time to shout about the brilliant work being done by our brilliant team of PR experts. This next era as Mighty & Kin will drive us to do that.”
The rebrand also follows a successful year for the agency, which was recognised as one of the biggest movers in Prolific North’s Top 50 PR Agencies 2025, climbing 12 places to 27th position. The rise reflects the agency’s long-term client relationships, strong new business performance and growing reputation for delivering powerful, purpose-led FMCG campaigns.
The new name comes with a new brand, vision and proposition developed in collaboration with Quansah Consulting, BIB Inc Ltd and Rise & Amplify.
