Riot & Rebel has launched a new website for Manchester Youth Zone (MYZ), a project designed to help more young people and families access vital support, while boosting the charity’s ability to raise funds through donations, fundraising and corporate partnerships.
Based in Harpurhey, one of the most deprived wards in the UK, Manchester Youth Zone provides a safe, positive and inspiring place for thousands of young people who may otherwise have limited access to opportunities. Many of the young people MYZ supports come from low-income households, face social barriers, or lack safe spaces to learn, grow and express themselves.
Each week, MYZ delivers more than 20 hours of youth sessions, offering everything from sports and creative arts to mentoring & skills development. The team also provides thousands of hot meals every year, all free of charge to members. The new website brings this impact to the forefront, helping families understand how MYZ can support them and encouraging more young people and families to get involved.
Alongside serving its community, the website has been built to help MYZ grow its fundraising efforts, from individual donations to corporate partnerships, enabling the charity to continue delivering life-changing opportunities for North Manchester’s youth.
Louise Howells, founder & director of Manchester agency Riot & Rebel, said: “The new website was created to make it easier for young people and families to see what Manchester Youth Zone offers, the sessions, the support, the opportunities, and the sense of belonging they create every day. But it also had a bigger job to do: helping MYZ raise the funds they need to keep delivering these essential services. From donations to corporate partnerships, the site now gives them a strong platform to tell their story and drive real impact. We’re incredibly proud to support a charity doing such important work for young people in our city.”
Heather Etheridge, CEO Manchester Youth Zone, added: “This new website is a huge step forward for us. It not only helps young people understand everything they can access at Manchester Youth Zone, but also gives potential supporters and partners a much clearer view of the impact we’re making. Stronger visibility means stronger opportunities, whether that’s fundraising, volunteering or long-term corporate partnerships, all of which help us continue changing young lives in North Manchester.”
