Triple hire as Manchester indie rounds off third successful year in business

Manchester independent full-service agency Vega Comms has announced a trio of new starters as it completes its third full year of trading with doubled billings year-on-year, recording an annual turnover of £5m for the financial year.

2025 has also seen Vega sign up a number of new clients, as well as winning recognition in the inaugural Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) Beacon List 2025, a spotlight on the UK’s most exciting, high-growth, and digitally-driven agencies.

Founded in late 2022 and headquartered in Manchester, the agency has grown rapidly over three years, combining network-scale relationships with independent agility.

To support the next phase of growth, Vega Comms is welcoming three new team members on board – Ben Barker joins as head of digital, bringing experience from Cavu, N Brown and Connected3, while Laura Burns and Liam Conroy both join as Digital PR Managers.

Nick James, managing director of Vega, said: “Achieving £5 million in billings and doubling our size for the third year running speaks volumes about our model — our collaborative approach, transparent working and relentless focus on delivering client growth. We’re incredibly proud of the team and the clients who have trusted us to deliver exceptional results.”

Newly appointed head of digital Barker said: “Vega are an incredibly talented agency with decades of experience across above and below the line media. I’ve known their founding team for many years having worked with them previously, so I jumped at the chance to join when the opportunity

became available, as it was clear to me that this was the place that I could accelerate my career and add value to the business.”

Named after the North Star, Vega offers clients a global footprint from its offices in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and Gibraltar, combining experience, data and insight to understand clients’ challenges and produce focused media solutions.
