Manchester-based Havas Red North has landed the brief with US specialist haircare brand Thank God It’s Natural (tgin) following a competitive pitch.
tgin, a leading black-owned natural haircare brand focused on long-term hair health, has finally officially arrived on UK shores after 16 years of success back home in the US and a cult presence as an import on these shores. The brand has partnered with Boots to release its hero Moist Collection including the established UK favourite, Honey Miracle Hair Mask, online and in stores nationwide.
As a leading player in the US textured hair market, tgin has amassed multiple accolades, including this year’s Essence Beauty Award and InStyle Red Carpet Beauty Award, as well as celebrity fans such as Glastonbury performer Doechii and Emmy winner Quinta Brunson. tgin is now bringing its trusted, no-nonsense solutions to UK customers who seek effective but natural care for a range of textured hair types.
The Moist Collection is home to four of tgin’s best-selling products, each crafted with deeply moisturising ingredients like Shea Butter, Amla Oil, and Vitamin E. This powerhouse collection works to deliver long-lasting hydration, restore softness, and enhance shine, leaving textured hair nourished, manageable, and full of radiant, healthy curls.

HAVAS Red North Deputy Managing Director Nuala O’Neill said: “We’re thrilled to be working with tgin expanding our beauty client base and supporting the launch of a new brand into the textured haircare industry in the UK.”
Aris Singleton, CEO at tgin says: “Expanding into the UK has always been part of our plan, and seeing our hero product range on the shelves of a leading UK retailer is truly a dream come true. We’re so excited to be working with HAVAS Red to achieve our goal of brand awareness in the UK, we were impressed with the team’s passion within the pitch period and can’t wait to see results.”
Founded in 2013 by Harvard-educated attorney and breast cancer survivor Chris-Tia Donaldson, tgin is a high-quality haircare brand. Spotting a gap in the market, Donaldson launched tgin to meet the needs of curls, coils, and kinks. Under her leadership, tgin became a nationally recognised brand, available in retailers including Target, Walmart and Ulta Beauty.
Following her passing in 2021, Donaldson’s legacy continues through the tgin Foundation, which supports breast cancer awareness and minority women’s health initiatives. Her sister, Dr. Piper Farrell, now serves as chief strategy officer, driving the brand’s mission to empower women and redefine beauty standards.
