Leeds PR agency Yasper has signed up Jamie Jones-Buchanan, owner of RAM Films and former Leeds Rhinos legend, in an advisory capacity.
The role will see Yasper work closely with Jamie, and his team at RAM Films, sharing knowledge and expertise, as well as making referrals and working together on joint proposals, which include each other’s services.
Yasper’s team has already worked closely with JJB on a number of projects, such as the Row4MND charity challenge – which brought together a crew of experienced rowers who held a number of ocean-rowing records to take on endurance challenges, starting with rowing the length of Britain from Land’s End to John O’Groats – and the former rugby star’s own personal digital presence. Yasper’s founder also sits on the board of trustees at the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, where JJB also held a position until completing his term earlier this year.
The collaboration further solidifies the exisiting relationship, and adds a significant new element to Yasper’s already strong credentials, which will aid the businesses further growth as it celebrates its second anniversary.

Julian Pearce, Founder and MD of Yasper said: “Jamie is a hugely well-respected individual and one of life’s great communicators. Working alongside him will help ensure that we build on Yasper’s exceptionally strong foundations.”
“We already have several shared interests and contacts, which sets this relationship off on the right footing. I look forward to continuing this work together on more formal basis.”
Jones-Buchanan added: “I’ve been massively impressed with what Yasper stands for, its values and ethos. They’re expert at what they do and take the time to understand their clients. I look forward to working closely with the team on a number of fronts.
“Working to join the dots in this city, I look forward to helping Yasper’s business grow and connect with new audiences, while celebrating shared interests.”
In practice, Jones-Buchanon will act as senior counsel, akin to a non-exec director role for Yasper. He will work alongside Yasper’s founder on shaping the direction of the business, with a particular focus on its growth and wider social purpose within Leeds and the surrounding areas.
