The Co-op has unveiled a new store concept which will switch to online trading only after 7pm.
The Altrincham “on the go” micro store format will open 7am-7pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This will feature “new formats” of traditional meal deals, a hot food over the counter service and deli-inspired selections.
From 7pm it will only offer online trading for products like its pizza which will be cooked and delivered through its quick commerce partners Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Co-op said the new stores would be situated in high foot-traffic locations.
“The whole team is excited to launch our new concept store in the Stamford Quarter,” said Gary Williams, Co-op Director of Store Optimisation.

Earlier this year, Co-op announced a 3 year extension of its quick commerce partnership with Uber Eats, it also launched the grocery app, Peckish, in February so that independent retailers could set up their own online operations.
