Two separate documentaries chronicling the final chapter of Ozzy Osbourne’s life are set to be released within days of each other by the BBC and Paramount+.
The BBC has rescheduled the broadcast of Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, which was pulled from the schedules last month at the family’s request. The one-hour film will now air on BBC One and iPlayer at 21:00 BST on 2 October.

The documentary covers the last three years of the former Black Sabbath frontman’s life, including his and wife Sharon’s move back to the UK from Los Angeles, and his “heroic” determination to perform at a farewell concert in Birmingham.
The BBC describes it as an “intimate and moving portrait” that shows the couple facing a “monumental battle, both on a professional and personal level.”

Just days later, Paramount+ will premiere its own film, Ozzy: No Escape From Now, on 7 October. Announced this week, it is billed as “an all-access, intimate view of the rock icon’s six-year health battle as he fights to get back on stage one last time.” The project focuses on the period after a serious fall in 2019, with Sharon Osbourne among the executive producers.
Together, the two documentaries offer complementary perspectives on Osbourne’s final years: the BBC’s film centred on his homecoming and farewell gig, and the Paramount+ release exploring his longer health battle. Both arrive less than three months after the legendary singer’s death at the age of 76.
