Adidas are kicking off their 10-year Liverpool partnership with a host of the club’s legends.
In a rare move, the football club is releasing its home and away kits simultaneously – this is mainly due to the timing of the switch from Nike to Adidas.
First team players including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Ceri Holland and Curtis Jones are joined in an Alice in Wonderland inspired launch video, alongside club legends such as Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher.

It’s the third time that LFC has worn the Adidas stripes, the first being from 1985-1996 and again from 2006-2012.
“The return of adidas to Liverpool FC is a momentous occasion for us. Seeing our iconic three stripes adorning Liverpool FC kits again is something we’re incredibly proud of,” explained Sam Handy, GM at adidas football.
“The Home jersey is a true representation of the Liverpool DNA – classy and understated, while the away jersey pays homage to the club’s rich history. I speak on behalf of everyone at adidas when I say this is just the start of an incredible journey and we’re extremely excited for what’s to come.”
Designers said that the latest looks have a “deep respect” for the club’s heritage, “reimagining what it means to wear the Liver Bird.”

The home shirt features a clean all-red colourway, with white adidas three stripes down the sleeves and a crew neck collar.
The away top is a nod to classic LFC away shirts, featuring an off-white base with black and red detailing. The Liver Bird is framed within a shield, a design inspired by the shape of Anfield’s Main Stand from 1906.
On the reverse of both jerseys, the 97-emblem encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck.

The club said added that if supporters wanted to honour Diogo Jota by having ‘Diogo J. 20’ printed on the back of their shirts in official club stores or via its official online store, as well as adidas in-store or online, all profits will go to LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity.
“This is more than just the launch of a new kit – it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and adidas. Since announcing the partnership in March, there’s been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement,” said Ben Latty, Chief Commercial Officer at LFC
“This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come.”
The men’s first team will debut the new home kit during the pre-season doubleheader at Anfield against Athletic Club on August 4 and the new away kit during the Community Shield game against Crystal Palace on August 10.
LFC women will wear the new away kit for the first time during pre-season on August 9 against Aston Villa and the new home kit on August 17 against Durham.
