Leeds-based creative agency SUPERSONIC is expanding its offering over t’hills by opening a new office in Manchester.
The agency, which is now in its 3rd year, boasts an enviable client list including Stagecoach, William Hill, Jet2, British Land, Dusk, 888 and De Vere Hotels, and this move into Manchester sees the team grow to 14 people.
The Manchester office will be headed up by Leighton Horsley who was previously a partner at Cheetham Bell/EssenceMediacom and Martin Smith, a creative director who joins from Driven.
Don McGrath, executive creative director and co-founder said: “We’ve seen great growth in our early years at SUPERSONIC and our smaller, faster, stronger approach is working well. Opening up a new office allows us to stay true to our principles with a nimble, highly experienced team, rather than growing too big and having to implement lots of red tape and process. I’ve worked with both Leighton and Martin for several years in the past and know they embody the same ethos as us. I can’t think of anyone better to help us deliver more ‘ideas at the speed of right’”.

New Manchester boss Horsley added: “The time was right for me and Martin to do our own thing, and we’ve seen the rise of SUPERSONIC over the last couple of years. SUPERSONIC is an independent creative agency, founded in Leeds in April 2023 with a focus on strategy, creative and production. The new SUPERSONIC MCR office is located at Michigan Studios, Michigan Avenue, MediaCity.
