Prolific North’s popular Tech Start-ups to Watch list and event is back for 2025!
Sponsored by Beyond Echo PR, the fourth edition of this event is returning to identify and celebrate a fresh wave of the most promising new tech start-ups in the North and Scotland.
With a thriving tech ecosystem, Prolific North is looking for the innovators, disruptors, and exciting new companies that should be on everyone’s radar to feature on this year’s list.
An accompanying event, which will exclusively reveal the selected companies on the list, will be held in Manchester on 15 October 2025. Expect opportunities to connect and learn from industry leaders, investors, partners, and collaborators – and meet the companies featured on the list for 2025.
The list will be compiled from extensive research carried out by the editorial team at Prolific North, alongside input from trusted and independent observers of the Northern tech sector, and nominations from companies.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
If your company is based in the North of England or Scotland, and was incorporated no earlier than January 1, 2020, we want to hear from you.
Submissions will be scored based on the following criteria:
- Traction and product-market fit: We’re looking for proof that your company is genuinely solving a problem for a defined group of customers; this can include user feedback, pilot programmes, customer retention rates, ARR, number of active users etc
- Team & leadership: Tell us about the people behind the idea. We’ll be looking at the background and experience of your founding team, your current team size, and your growth plans.
- Scalability and business model: Show us your vision for the future. This includes your plan to generate revenue, your growth strategy for the next 1-3 years, and your path to profitability or plans to access future funding.
