Sweet tooth on the horizon as Manchester agency delights in double dessert win

Cake Box, the UK’s leading specialist in fresh cream, egg-free cakes, and Ambala, the heritage Asian sweets retailer recently acquired by Cake Box, have appointed PR Agency One to deliver their first structured consumer PR campaigns. 

Cake Box, which operates more than 260 franchised stores nationwide alongside a growing click-and-collect and pre-order website, has tasked PR Agency One with running a continuous press office to raise mainstream profile while maintaining its strong connection with South Asian communities.  

The remit also includes seasonal storytelling, influencer engagement, and support for new product launches such as the Dubai Chocolate range and brand collaborations with household names.  

PR Agency One, which counts FMCG and retail PR among its specialist areas, will also support Ambala – which has more than 24 UK stores – with consumer activity designed to maintain loyalty among existing customers while introducing the brand to new audiences.

Both brands have briefed PR Agency One to deliver sustained media and influencer activity, tentpole campaigns around key cultural and seasonal events such as Eid, Diwali and Christmas, and a store-opening PR framework.
