Leading cruise holiday provider, Southampton Cruise Centre, is looking to expand its SEO efforts with award-winning digital agency, The SEO Works, following a successful website migration.
Since 1959, Southampton Cruise Centre has offered a variety of worldwide cruise options suitable for couples and families seeking both long and short cruise experiences.
With plans to take their digital presence to the next level and expand the visibility of their site, Southampton Cruise Centre decided it was time for a change. By Autumn 2025, they were in the midst of a complex website migration.
But once the migration was underway, the cruise provider recognised a need for some external expert support – and so looked for a partner to support and guide them throughout the migration process, which began their relationship with Yorkshire agency The SEO Works.

The team at The SEO Works offered advice on the migration and helped navigate around any issues that presented themselves during the process, including assisting with over 1,000 website redirects. A few months later the job was done, but the impact on traffic and rankings was minimal.
The team at Southampton Cruise Centre was so impressed with the support they received that they have now extended their partnership with The SEO Works, as they look for further guidance with their long-term SEO strategy.
The teams will work closely to help expand Southampton Cruise Centre’s location offerings to include more nationwide terms, while simultaneously exploring strategic ways to grow the site holistically.
Lewis Johnston, head of river cruise & group ecommerce manager marketing at Southampton Cruise Centre, said: “I found The SEO Works by searching on Google! If an SEO agency is ranking well for very competitive ‘SEO Company’ terms, they’re clearly doing something right.
“We’ve been working together for almost six months now, and the results have been really positive. We originally brought them in to help protect our search performance during a major CMS and website upgrade, which was critical for us.
“Since then, the focus has naturally shifted to driving stronger traffic results and real commercial growth. Our account manager James, has been great to work with – knowledgeable, proactive, and genuinely understands our business. We’re really pleased with how the partnership is developing.”
Alex Hill, sales director at The SEO Works, added: “We’re delighted with the success of the migration. It’s always a tricky and tense time with a lot on the line, but the team kept their cool and got the job done to their usual great standard.
“Now we’re on hand to guide them through their SEO campaign and offer them a wealth of knowledge and advice based on our years of experience. And going forward, it’ll be exciting to see how this partnership could develop into some really great results.”
The SEO Works has previously worked with a number of travel clients, such as Meadow Bay Villages, Rome Vacation Trips and UKBreakaways.
