Adele Meer has joined Newcastle-based agency Drummond Central from London creative agency Quiet Storm as associate planning director, relocating up North to join the agency and bringing over 20 years of strategic planning experience to the team.
At Quiet Storm, Meer was head of planning, where she helped shape the agency’s strategic culture and maximise the effectiveness of powerful ideas, working with brands including Haribo, Chicago Town and On the Beach. She is a Marketing Society Excellence Award Gold winner.
In her new role, which is a key leadership position within Drummond Central, Meer will lead the strategy for UK retailer Dreams and work closely with planning director Neil Caffery to lead the agency’s team of strategists, shape strategic client relationships and play an active role in driving client growth and agency development.
Caffery said: “As more and more of our clients are recognising the value delivered by our strategic offer, we are investing in the very best talent from the world of Planning and Adele certainly fits that mould. She’s bringing a wealth of experience from many planning disciplines and her sharp intellect, creative flair and strong belief in the power of great ideas will inspire us and our clients to greater things.”
Meer brings her brand planning experience to Drummond Central, as well as expertise in CRM and experiential strategy. Prior to Quiet Storm, Meer held strategy roles at The & Partnership and The Brooklyn Brothers. She began her career at McCann Erickson before gaining experience in roles at Rapp, AIS and Cunning.
She said: “I’d long held a dream to move to the North East, and when the stars aligned with Drummond Central, it was a leap I absolutely had to make. Their laser focus on effectiveness, and unwavering commitment to world-class creativity is genuinely impressive. They’re also solid proof that incredible talent isn’t, and shouldn’t be, only found in London. I can’t wait to get stuck in with this lovely lot and do brilliant work that shifts the dial for their exceptional list of clients.”
