Shaun Ryder and Bez star in new British gangster flick Geezers

Principal photography is underway for new UK gangster flick Geezers, a high octane crime caper about a stolen bag of money and a war between the rival gangs who want to get it starring Shaun Ryder and Bez from the Happy Mondays.

Caught in the cross fire are ‘The Geezers’ a bunch of wannabe criminals who have bitten off more then they can chew. Joining the cast alongside the two Manc musicians are Hannah Bang Bendz (Wrath of Dracula), Sean Cronin (Mission Impossible), Ciaron Davies, Ashley Hudson and Steven Woollard. The film is written and directed by Ciaron Davies (Grainne Uaile, 5th dimension, Magic Island).

A fast-paced thrill ride packed with car chases, shoot outs and compelling action scenes, Geezers is somewhere between Snatch and John Wick. Featuring a lot of tactical stunt work, martial arts and brilliantly visualised violent aesthetics, the movie is also reminiscent of Hong Kong crime films, while also working within the genre of a British gangster flick. The cast is diverse and it is the intention of filmmaker Davies to create an exciting gangster film for a modern audience.

It’s produced by Loose Gripp Films and distributed by Pinewood-based High Fliers.
