Robert F Kennedy Human Rights UK has appointed Roland Dransfield to promote its Manchester-based Ripples of Hope Festival.

It’s the second time the Manchester agency has worked with the organisation, having handled its Ripples of Hope Business & Investment Summit last year.

It will provide PR, stakeholder engagement and social media strategy to raise awareness of the event, which will centre around Home Mcr.

“It’s a privilege to be working with Robert F Kennedy Human Rights once again. We are passionate about working with value-driven organisations and the humanitarian ambitions for the Ripples of Hope Festival sit perfectly alongside our own,” stated Lisa Morton, CEO and founder of Roland Dransfield.

“The last 18 months have exposed some real challenges for people, communities and economies right across the globe. This unifying festival of inspirational events across the city could not come at a better time, and we are very excited to be a part of it.”

The 5 day festival will include speeches by the former CEO of Unilever Paul Polman; co-founder of B-Lab UK Charmian Love; and Chair of the North West Business Leadership Team Jonathan Murphy.

It will also include a conversation with former US Secretary of State and 2016 Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton; and a poetic response to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights from 30 leading international poets, curated by UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage CBE.

“In The Ripples of Hope Festival, we celebrate that simple truth – there is nothing more powerful than people coming together and recognising all of us can make a difference in our own way. We’re so proud to launch the Festival in Greater Manchester – a region that has such an incredible heritage of social progress,” explained Dennis Marcus, Executive Director at Robert F Kennedy Human Rights UK.

“We’re delighted that Roland Dransfield will help us share the incredible programme we’ve developed with the people and organisations of Greater Manchester with the world!”
