Rio Ferdinand stars in DeliveryApp’s new ad campaign

First an investor, now Rio Ferdinand is fronting DeliveryApp’s new advertising campaign.

The former Manchester United and England defender took a stake in the company earlier this year. It’s since undergone a rebrand and the new brand campaign shows the former United captain rallying the troops.

“Over the last two years, we’ve been working hard to establish DeliveryApp in the market, developing industry leading technology which makes fulfilling same day deliveries easier than ever for our clients,” said David Ancell, Chief Marketing Officer for DeliveryApp.

“Now with an extensive driver network and a robust technology making it easier than ever to book online or via the app and track your delivery door-to-door, DeliveryApp is well positioned for its next phase of growth. Our latest brand campaign with Rio Ferdinand is about just that, creating widespread awareness for the brand, showing there really is a viable, ethical and dependable alternative in the world of same-day, and that’s DeliveryApp.” 

The company lost its CEO last in October, with Dwain McDonald announcing he was stepping down, after just 8 months in charge. The role has now been taken by founder, Lance Jones:

“In an incredibly short timeframe the business has been able prove concept, achieve funding, develop the technology, establish digital infrastructure, and launch to market. 

“The business is on-track for record turnover this year, onboarding some major clients in the process. We have the very best technology at the heart of our product such as APIs to seamless integrate with retail and warehouse platforms as well as the ability to track deliveries door-to-door. Now, with Rio on-board, we’re ready to go on and win championships.”

The campaign goes live from 1st December and will run across mobile, web and social media.
