Wildfire Ecommerce, the company behind the video equipment rental, purchase and finance platform spreadlikewildfire.co, has been awarded a £22,000 grant from Innovate UK as part of the DCMS Create Growth Fund: Competition 1.
The company provides video production equipment through purchase, finance, and rental to the creative industry. The grant will be used to further improve and expand its offerings such as a user-to-user equipment rental marketplace.
“We are thrilled to have been recognized by both Innovate UK and DCMS,” says Ste Bergin, founder/CEO of Wildfire Ecommerce. “This grant allows us to continue what myself and the team do best, to break down the barriers associated with expensive equipment and lowering production budgets as a result.”
spreadlikewildfire.co has become a go-to destination for the creative industry, connecting professionals with high-quality video production equipment. This grant will facilitate the platform’s growth and continue to drive innovation within the industry.
The company recently collaborated with the University of Manchester on the AI Foundry to create an equipment compatability tool that allows users to identify if a piece of equipment, such as a lens, will be compatible with a piece of video equipment they already own.
