LA Trading is bringing digital screen advertising into Manchester taxis, helping local businesses reach passengers during real-world journeys.
The Bournemouth-based family-run advertising company is launching a new, in-taxi digital advertising network in Manchester, designed to help local businesses, agencies and national brands reach passengers while they travel across the city.
LA Trading places digital advertising screens inside taxis, giving businesses a new way to connect with passengers during journeys where attention is often more focused than on crowded online feeds.

The network is designed for a wide range of advertisers, from restaurants, hotels, gyms, estate agents and local attractions through to agencies and larger brands looking for high-attention, location-led advertising.
Unlike traditional outdoor advertising, LA Trading’s screens sit inside the taxi, placing brand messages directly in front of passengers during the journey.
Campaigns can include QR codes, offers, booking links, event promotions, app downloads, menus, lead capture pages and brand awareness creative.
The company is currently building its network across the UK, with 250+ taxis live ajead of the Manchester launch, creating a growing media platform for brands that want to reach people while they are already moving through towns and cities.
LA Trading says the platform gives advertisers a powerful “street-to-seat” opportunity, connecting real-world movement with measurable digital action.
“Manchester has a thriving mix of hospitality, retail, leisure, culture and professional services, so we wanted to create an advertising channel that works for the businesses people actually visit. Taxi journeys give brands a focused moment with passengers. Our screens allow local businesses and
larger brands to be seen inside the journey, not just around it,” said founder Justin Down.
The company believes in-taxi advertising can support local businesses by giving them an alternative to relying only on social media, search ads or traditional outdoor advertising.
With passengers spending an average of 10–30 minutes inside a taxi, LA Trading says the format gives businesses time to tell a clearer story, promote offers, drive QR scans and build brand recognition in a captive environment.
200 taxis will be joining the initial Manchester rollout, almost doubling the existing fleet. The business is now inviting Manchester businesses, agencies and media buyers to explore the platform as part of local, regional and national advertising campaigns.
