Pace lands UK marketing role with $1bn-turnover US sustainable decking brand

Hull-based Pace Communications has been selected as the UK marketing partner for Trex Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative composite decking and railing, and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products.

Trex was founded in 1996 and recently achieved $1 billion in revenue. The company, headquartered in Virginia, USA, has products in more than 6,700 retail outlets across six continents.

The collaboration, which will involve the full remit of Pace’s marketing offering including content, social, PR, design and production, will increase brand awareness and product perception in the UK.

Anita Pace, managing director of Pace, said: “We began our partnership last month with a visit to Trex’s US headquarters. As well as seeing its vast manufacturing operation, we visited the ‘Trex University’ which is home to its impressive research and innovation centre.

“This is a significant client win for us and we’re thrilled to add this prestigious brand to our client list. We’re excited about working with the Trex team and looking forward to helping Trex expand its UK customer base.”

Trex was the first company to combine reclaimed wood and recycled plastic film to create market-leading decking products. All Trex decking is sustainably made from up to 95 per cent recycled material.

Pace’s other clients include sustainable cleaning brand Bio-D, Yorkshire housing developer Beal Homes, international waste plastic road company MacRebur, global health, hygiene and nutrition manufacturer Reckitt and global skincare brand 7th Heaven.
