Move Dance, the Manchester-based online dancewear retailer has signed a 10 year lease on a new warehouse and office at Airport City.

The company, which was established in 2007, has become Europe’s leading dance wear retailer.

The investment in the 17,000sq ft warehouse and 2,500sq ft office space is to support its growth plans.

“After occupying several locations on our journey to here, we now have state-of-the-art facilities for our office and fulfilment staff – and enough space to continue progress in growing our business across the globe as a leading dancewear brand and retailer,” said co-founder and joint MD, Robin Gillyon.

Gillyon is aiming to achieve revenues of £8.5m by the end of this financial year, which would represent a 20% growth. Within 12 months, it plans to exceed £10m.

It marks a large leap forward for the firm, which was originally established by John Cormack as a small shop in the Northern Quarter. He went on to partner with ecommerce specialist, Gillyon to set up the online operation.

50 staff are employed by the firm, which now sells in over 120 countries.
